Botswana Ministry of Technology Delegation Visits Starair Aircraft

On March 6, Professor He Qinghua, the founder and chief expert of Starair Aircraft, along with Starair Aircraft's Deputy General Manager Xiao Huangxing, received the visiting delegation from the Botswana Ministry of Communications, Knowledge and Technology, led by His Excellency Minister Thulaganyo Segokgo. The delegation included Professor Otlogetswe Totolo, Vice President of the Botswana International University of Science and Technology, His Excellency Batlang Comma Serema, Botswana's Ambassador to China, Samuel Serero, Director of the Ministry of Communications, Knowledge and Technology, Kebofilwe Michael Moleleke, Director of the Botswana International University of Science and Technology, Marand Daniel Motlaleng, Counselor at the Botswana Embassy in China, Mr. Nan Gengxu, Executive Chairman of the Botswana-China Friendship Association and Director of the Asia Region of the Botswana National Chamber of Commerce, and Zhang Yue, Assistant Director of the Botswana National Chamber of Commerce China Office.

Professor He Qinghua warmly welcomed the distinguished guests from Botswana. Deputy General Manager Xiao Huangxing accompanied them on a tour of Starair Aircraft's production and testing workshops, introducing the company's 20-year development history and its rich experience in aircraft R&D and manufacturing.

Minister Thulaganyo Segokgo expressed his high recognition of Starair Aircraft's comprehensive capabilities in aircraft R&D, production, manufacturing, aviation education, and scientific research after the tour. An intercontinental video conference was organized with relevant leaders from the Botswana Civil Aviation Authority and the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre to discuss cooperation in establishing an authorized delivery center and assembly production for Starair Aircraft in Botswana. Both parties reached a consensus on cooperation intentions.

Professor He Qinghua stated that Botswana and other African countries have rich tourism resources and a high demand for aircraft. Starair Aircraft's Aurora planes, with their excellent performance and high cost-effectiveness, are well-suited for the African region. This cooperation can serve as an opportunity to provide high-quality aircraft products and services to African countries. Professor Otlogetswe Totolo expressed Botswana's strong emphasis on aviation manufacturing and operations, aviation education, and related work, looking forward to in-depth cooperation with Starair Aircraft in these fields. Deputy General Manager Xiao Huangxing emphasized Starair Aircraft's focus on international market expansion and anticipated cooperation with the Botswana International University of Science and Technology in training pilots, technical personnel, aviation education, and related management talents. Both parties expressed their intention to gradually implement the discussion's content, creating unique value for Botswana and Starair Aircraft in the aviation field.
