DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

In 2008, Starair Aircraft Co., Ltd was established and the first SA60L (Aurora) aircraft has been rolled out and introduced in Zhuhai Airshow.
In 2011, SA60L (Aurora) obtained the first domestic TC for the light sport aircraft issued by CAAC (TC No.: TC0032A-ZN).
In 2013, Zhuzhou Starair Aviation Industrial Base was completed and put into operation. Starair Aircraft Co., Ltd. obtained the first domestic LSA PC (PC No.: PC0023A-ZN）
The new SAl60L five-seat aircrafthas successfully rolled out.
In 2018, "Aurora SA60L-iS" electronic fuel injection (EFI) luxury aircraft was issued TC. SA160L five-seat aircraft completed the maiden flight. Chengdu Starair Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established.
Starair Aircraft Co., Ltd. was issued AS9100D QualityManagement System Certificate;
The FAA officially included the SA60L Aurora in theSLSA brand/model catalog
General Secretary Xi Jinpingvisited Sunward.
The 99th and 100th SA60L(Aurora) were rolled out anddelivered.
In 2021, The fully self-developed 700kg-class SA70U fixed-wing UAV completed its maiden flight. Aurora SA70L, China's first fully self-developed 700kg-class LSA, was issued TC.
In 2022, Starair Aviation Industrial Base project phase II has officially commenced.
The 199th and 200th SA60L (Aurora) were rolled out and delivered.

Starair Aircraft Co., Ltd. was honored with the provincial title of 2022 "little giant" firms among specialized and sophisticated enterprises that produce new and unique products and approved for the "Leading Project" of 2022 National Key R&D Program, marking the first time undertaking a national-level project task.

Starair Aircraft Co., Ltd. released the prototype of the first electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) manned aircraft jointly developed with Volkswagen Group (China). The Starair General Aviation innovation and entrepreneurship team was approved for the first time for a provincial-level team-based project , and hornored with the title of 2022 "Furong Plan" Provincial Enterprise Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship
In 2023，Premier of the State Council Mr.Li Qiang visit Sunward Aircraft.Co., Ltd.
Sunward Aircraft Co.,Ltd change name to Starair Aircraft Co., Ltd.
Starair's "Nebula" Smart Platform APP was officially launched;The Volkswagen Group project completed the full-scale prototype and full-modal flight test, and completed the delivery and acceptance;
The 299th and 300th "Aurora" aircraft rolled off the production line and were delivered;

The "Tethered Drone Fire Truck", independently developed by Starair, was publicized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and passed the certification of a national authoritative institution, making it available for sale;

Zheng Jianbang, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, and his party inspected and researched.

ABOUT STARAIR

Founded in March 2008, Starair Aircraft Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Starair") is a high-tech joint-stock private enterprise with a combination of production, training and research. The founder is Professor He Qinghua, a leading figure in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering at Central South University. We specialize in the R&D, manufacturing and sales of manned light aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and aviation parts, as well as the provision of related services.

We have developed a number of proprietary products that showcase our core competitiveness and filled several domestic gaps in the general aviation sector with our strong strategic determination, rational development path, efficient and capable team, and independent research and development system. In the field of full-composite manned light aircraft, we have developed a light sport aircraft (LSA) "Aurora", China's first LSA that has obtained civil aviation airworthiness certification. This LSA has the capability of high altitude take-off and landing and automatic piloting. With over 300 units delivered domestically, it has become a star model in China's general aviation sector, successfully surpassing foreign brands. In the fields of unmanned helicopters, fixed-wing UAVs, multirotor UAVs, and new energy vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAVs, we have developed several differentiated UAV products that have been widely applied in areas such as cargo delivery, emergency rescue, remote sensing and telemetry. In the field of aviation-related services, we have provided services such as research and development of complete aircraft and their parts, provision of process equipment, and tests for leading enterprises such as Volkswagen, Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC), and SF UAS. We have been developing outstanding, safe, reliable and cost-effective general aviation products, and our key projects under research and development include purely electric VTOL aircraft and high-end luxury full-carbon fiber five-seat aircraft.

LEADING THE GENERAL AVIATION SECTOR

We have obtained various qualifications and certifications within the civil aviation industry, including the Type Certificate (TC) issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the Production Certificate (PC), the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) airworthiness certification granted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States, the Certificate of Airworthiness for LSA issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) of Australia, qualifications for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) pilot training and the AS9100D International Aerospace Quality System Certification. We are one of the limited high-tech privately-owned enterprises in China that possesses all of these qualifications within the civil aviation sector.
