Good News! CRRC Times Electric Jointly with Starair Secures Approval for 2026 Hunan Provincial Top 10 Technological Research Projects

      CRRC Times Electric, in collaboration with Starair and five other organizations, has successfully secured the approval and official initiation of the project "R&D of High Power Density Electric Propulsion Systems for Low-Altitude Aircraft", which is selected as one of the Top 10 Technological Research Projects of Hunan Province for 2026.

      The core objective of this project is to ensure the independent and controllable development of the domestic core industrial chain for low-altitude aircraft, break through the technical bottlenecks of relevant electric propulsion systems, and lay a solid technological foundation for the development of the low-altitude economy.

      Relying on this project, the research team will focus on addressing the matching issue between heavy-duty low-altitude aircraft and high power density electric propulsion systems, and conquer three core technologies including the deep coupling control of electric propulsion and flight control. Ultimately, it will realize the improvement of load capacity and range of low-altitude aircraft, while making the aircraft operate more stably and fly more safely, and the service life and reliability of the equipment will also be enhanced.
