As the number of high-rise buildings in China continues to increase, the difficulty of fire rescue operations also grows. China ranks first globally in the number of high-rise and super high-rise buildings. These buildings are large in scale, multifunctional, and densely populated. Once a fire occurs, it is more challenging to extinguish and results in more severe damage to life and property.

To address this global issue, traditional fire-fighting methods are limited in their effectiveness for high-rise buildings, commonly facing problems such as "unable to reach, deploy, or access." Therefore, the development of new fire-fighting technologies has become increasingly important. Against this backdrop, Starair Aircraft's "High-Rise Building Fire-Fighting Tethered Drone System" emerged as a new fire-fighting rescue equipment supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology's key projects.

In practical applications, the High-Rise Building Fire-Fighting Tethered Drone System has demonstrated its powerful potential. This system combines drones with ground fire trucks to form an efficient and flexible fire-fighting solution. The drone serves as an aerial fire-fighting platform, quickly reaching the upper floors of high-rise buildings, surveying the fire, and accurately spraying extinguishing agents to put out the fire. The ground fire truck provides storage, power, and extinguishing agent supply for the drone. This design enables the system to have advantages such as high fire-fighting operation height, long flight time, and reduced footprint, improving fire-fighting efficiency.

Additionally, the system's fire-fighting effectiveness is significant. Depending on the operational height and fire-fighting requirements, the system can be equipped with hoses of different diameters to achieve varying flow rates of extinguishing agents. The drone can carry a φ65 hose to reach an operating height of 120 meters or a φ32 hose to reach an operating height of 280 meters, ensuring sufficient time for continuous extinguishing operations.

Besides its efficient fire-fighting performance, the system also features high automation, safety, integration, and adaptability. The ground fire truck integrates drone power devices, CAFS, cable reel systems, water tanks, foam tanks, control systems, and other components, enhancing overall performance and reliability. It can achieve one-click autonomous rooftop takeoff and landing, coordinated cable control, and intelligent precise spraying, with on-site preparation time of less than 5 minutes, significantly reducing operational difficulty and labor costs. All core components of the system adopt redundant design, ensuring safe operations in complex environments. The system is also equipped with a vehicle-mounted compressed air foam fire-fighting system and a vehicle-mounted fire cannon, capable of high-altitude fire-fighting and ground-level low-altitude fire-fighting, making it highly efficient and flexible.
